Baton Rouge named top 10 city for movie makers

Louisiana's capital city tops MovieMaker Magazine's 2016 list of best places to live as a film marker.

The magazine ranks Baton Rouge as its third spot, with Savannah, Georgia and New Orleans topping the list.

In 2015, MovieMaker reports the city hosts plenty of film crews including "The Magnificent Seven," Sundance's "Hap and Leonard" and MTV's "Scream."

From the fee-free Public Safety complex for filming to the state's tax incentive program, MovieMaker magazine said the city brings frugal benefits for independent filmmakers.
