2011 Irish Film Festival

The Baton Rouge Irish Club is proud to announce the third annual Irish Film Festival.

Saturday, July 16 11:45a to 9:30p
at Shaw Center for the Arts: Manship Theatre, Baton Rouge, LA

 

An exciting day of entertainment will include the showing of four highly acclaimed films about Ireland and the Irish people including Into the West, Boys and Girls from County Clare, An Everlasting Piece and a documentary entitled Literary Pub Crawl with Frank McCourt. Admission to the three main films is $8.50 each plus fees or $25 for all three, while there is no charge for the documentary. Complimentary refreshments will be available between each full length film along with a cash bar.

The day will begin with performances by bagpipers Na Cait Dubh. During the day “movie-goers” will enjoy performances by the fabulous McTeggarts School of Irish Dancers and music by the O’Neill Sisters, an exciting group from Ireland, and local favorites Doc McCrutchan and Randy Walsh.
